Natural Hair Styles- Twist Bun with Bangs

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on Pinterest

This bun takes about 45 minutes to an hour to do because I have to twist my hair first, however it lasts a whole week. When my hair was shorter (apl-bsl) I could do this style for natural hair in 30 minutes. Since the twists are pulled up into a bun do not worry about having perfect parts or placement. See tips for twisting natural hair here.

1) Put hair in about 20 large twists (you may need more or less depending on the thickness of your hair). Be sure to part the front as desired if you plan to wear a bang.

2) Use an ouchless/snag free ponytail holder and pull hair up into a high ponytail.

3) For long hair you can tuck the ends directly into the ponytail holder. For medium length hair secure with bobby pin, this also gives added fullness.

4) Optional- roll the ends of the bang using a flexirod.
